Inspirations

Pop Science magazine published a magazine on the environmental and economical damage that thrift shopping causes. It describes that, due to the growth of popularity, the prices are rising on clothes and people are not being able to afford the once cheap material. This gives me an idea for my magazine because it involves both science and thrift shopping. (This magazine does not have a front cover because it is a digital magazine.)

The Scientist magazine publishes a wide range of articles on different types of science. They have one on the posies, poison and periods in the early 1920’s. I would do a science magazine about flowers and how poisonous plants affect them in gardening.

Teen Vogue always has new updates on the latest couples in Hollywood. This is a big inspiration because it has outlines that are similar to my ideas. I would have a lot of material to go off of if I choose to do the teen magazine on celebrities. This magazine cover is the one I have most inspiration from because it is about fashion and not the science aspect of thrifting. Teen Vogue’s audience demographics are teenage girls ages thirteen to nineteen. Usually they feature couples or a pair of models of opposite gender. Shapes such as stars and hearts are shown on the front cover, usually containing cover lines or simply for design.
